This is a five-LP STEREO boxed set of many of the great recordings from the Roulette era. It includes Sarah Vaughan, Count Basie, Billy Eckstine, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, several other groups, and Maynard Ferguson. Maynard's tracks include Frame for the Blues and Where's Teddy. Even more interesting is a photographically cropped picture of Maynard's hands playing the trumpet on the front cover. It was cropped from the "Jazz for Dancing" LP cover. This is a VERY hard set of records to come by. I think I've seen a total of 3 copies, including the one in my personal collection. They were just an afterthought, apparently, licensed by Artia-Parliament from Roulette, and pressed in a relatively small quantity. That's what makes them so hard to find and interesting today.
COPY #1. The box cover on this one is super clean Still, it's a NMINT- box cover. The vinyl is generally clean and nice, ranging from NMINT- to NMINT. Overall, let's call this copy NMINT-. If you're trying to get one of everything, this is a MUST. A very clean and collectible copy, very hard to find,
